Fifth Harmony and ‘Bo$$’.
On July 8th, Fifth Harmony dropped their video for their latest single Bo$$ and they show off their FIERCE side!
If you haven’t heard of them yet, don’t panic! Fifth Harmony aren’t well known over this side of the world due to their fame arising on the US version of X Factor in 2012 (and unless you are one of us reality TV obsessed people, you wouldn’t have seen it!)
Fifth Harmony were formed on the 2nd Session of The X Factor US (the same way Simon created One Direction!). The young girl band consists of members Ally Brooke Hernandez (21), Normani Hamilton (18), Dinah Jane Hansen (17), Camila Cabello (17) , and Lauren Jauregui (18). After finishing third place (isn’t it funny how the best act in XF that year came 3rd? Like One Direction in the UK version 2 years previous?! It seems like coming 3rd is much better in that competition, unless you are Little Mix!) they signed a joint record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music and L.A. Reid’s Epic Records.
While working on their original stuff, the girls uploaded covers onto Youtube, including Ariana Grande’s Honeymoon Avenue, Ed Sheeran’s Lego House and Taylor Swift’s Red. Also, In 2013, the girls featured in Boyce Avenue’s’ Cover Collaborations V2′ EP, singing covers of Mirrors and When I Was Your Man. In October 2013, the band released their debut Ep, Better Together, which included the lead single Miss Movin’ On and Who Are You. Their debut album is set to be released later in 2014.
In their latest single Bo$$ video, the girls ditch the sweet girly outfits and show off their inner sassy diva side! You can tell Beyonce is one of the girls inspirations as the video is very much like something Bey would produce!
With the upbeat rhythm and catchy lyrics, it’s hard to ignore this song. I think this is the year the Fifth Harmony become a global sucess and it will all be down to their anthem Bo$$!
Check it out and see for yourself 🙂
